My first week
So I did well my first week. Since I already run at lest 3 miles 3-4 times a week, it was nothing new. But somehow, I got in my head that I was supposed to run 6 miles on my long run day, which is Saturday. The most I have ever run was 5 and that was once. I got up early Sat morning, went to a local park that has mile markers, zoned out to the ipod and hit the pavement. Around mile 2, I was struggling, I don't really know why. Then the song "Fighter" came on, by Christina Agulera and I got a second wind. I guess it was a throwback to all my exes who dumped me - I don't know. Around mile 4, I was feeling really good. Had my rhythm, knew I was almost done, and finished feeling amazing. I could not believe I did it. And it didn't kill me. Now for the rest of the day, my legs were so stinking sore. I felt like I had run a marathon. I have a really long ways to go. Oh, and BTW, somehow I read the plan wrong and I was only supposed to run 4miles. Whoopsie.
